Tracks at Pureora

See DOC staff for current information.

Mt Pureora Track from Link Road.
An obvious track to follow to the top of Mt Pureora.
Of concern at Nov 09 is some wash out near the top, caution required as there have been some incidents of ankles going over.
Track up grade is scheduled for Feb 2010

Tracks in the North Block

Ranginui Rd Tracks (not on map in brochure Nov 09)

  1. On left up Ranginui Rd, just where the natives start, “Hunters Access” track, mostly flat, marked with orange markers. Track connects with the Waipapa Loop Track at about mid loop. Left or right back to the Lodge.
  2. Ranginui Rd, continue to Fletchers Rd. 100mt up, “Hunters Access” track. Not quite so well marked, but with a compass and map is not hard to follow and connect to Select Loop Rd, which is further up Waitaramoa Rd.

Okahukura Rd

Mangatutu Track, about 4 hours to top of ridge and return.

Select Loop Rd – Mountain Bike track.
